Collaborative Divorce Strategies

a team approach dedicated to your success

Having a successful divorce takes more than a mediator helping you talk things over. It requires expertise from professionals to give you the guidance you need to make smart, informed decisions. That is why at Wentworth Divorce Consultants we collaborate with other experts as part of our mediation process.

As Certified Divorce Financial Advisors (CDFA’s) we help you every step of the way make financial decisions that are based on facts not guesses, and help you build a plan for your future financial security. (Click Here to Learn More).

But as needed we will collaborate with other professionals to help our clients navigate more complex issues.

CPA’s and Tax Professionals

We work with respected CPA’s who can help work through complex tax questions and other issues such as valuing a business practice, tax strategy when selling property, setting up a new business after your divorce, and determining your best tax status.

Attorneys

We work with attorneys who are skilled in helping divorcing couples finalize their agreements and understand the legal side of their divorce.

They work hand-in-hand with our mediation process answering questions and guiding you to decisions that are best for you. And after you mediation is finished they can help you set up your estate plan for your new life using wills, trusts, and make sure your family is protected

Investment Professionals

As CDFA’s we can work with you after your mediation is over to develop a comprehensive plan to create financial security. But you need a trusted advisor to actually manage your money for you.

At your request we will introduce you to respected wealth management professionals who will create a personalized investment plan and make specific investments on your behalf. We receive no compensation for this service.

a note about collaborative divorce

While we collaborate with other professionals we do not us a process often labeled “collaborative divorce” in which each party has an attorney directly participate in mediations. We are fully trained in this process, and respect those who use it, but it is significantly more expensive for our clients. We prefer to call on attorneys and other experts to help solve issues as they arise.
